Nestled within the Chequamegon National Forest lies Northern Escape Lake Home. This private, restful retreat is perfect for families or group of friends. With five beds, there is enough room for everyone. Accommodating up to ten persons, this comfortable, knotty pine, north woods decorated home gives you peaceful time away from busy life. Bring your boat because there is lake access with dock, with plenty of parking available.
As a Class “A” Muskie Lake, fish or canoe all day on Moose Lake or up through W. Fork Chippewa River. Summer activities include kayaking, fishing, hiking, biking, or swimming. Winter brings snowmobiling, ice fishing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, or sitting in front of the fire.
Camping is an option as Moose Lake has many small islands. Several have designated camp sites which are first-come, first-serve. Folsom Island has a shelter and dock.
Northern Escape Lake home is located on Moose Lake, just about 20 miles northeast of Hayward, Wisconsin. This home is a fully furnished 3 ½ bed, 1 bath cottage, that easily sleeps at least 7 adults ( Full occupancy of 10). There are 2 bedrooms with queen beds on the main floor and a large open loft upstairs with 3 full-sized beds.
Cottage Facilities:
Electricity
This home is primarily heated with electric in-floor heat which is operated by thermostat. Secondary heat is provided by the wood pellet stove. Wood stove is in the porch area. The home stays very cool in the summer due to cement flooring.
Water Supply
The water supply is provided by a well.
Appliances
Appliances include microwave oven, stove and range, crock pots, fryer, toaster, electric skillet, coffee maker and blender. No laundry.
TV/DVD/IPOD
There is a TV/DVD set-up. Feel free to bring DVD movies you might want to watch. There is also an IPOD dock for music. No WiFi or cable.
Barbecue
Gas grill and charcoal grill are provided along with a large fire pit for smores.
Towels/Linens/soap and shampoo
This rental does not include linens. Be sure to bring linens for bedding
(2queen, 3 full and pillows) towels, shampoo and soap. Cleaning supplies,
paper towels, and toilet paper are provided. No laundry facilities.

Nearby Attractions:
Mukwonago ski trail is located about 8 miles west on Hwy 70 toward Hayward on the south side of the road. This trail is groomed and tracked and has very little traffic. There are 4 loops (2.5K,4.5 K, 7.5K,14.5K). Trail fee is just $5/vehicle.
OO Birkie Ski trail is about 20 miles away. Directions are Hwy 70 west toward Hayward, north on OO to Seeley. Be sure to leave early to make it through this road as they will close it on Birkie morning.
Copper Falls State Park is approximately 35 miles away. You can hike, fish, or pack a picnic.
Downtown Hayward is 23 miles away. Shopping, dining, Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame, lumberjack shows, mini-golf, movie theater, wifi restaurants, golf courses, LCO casino, laundry facilities, and lots more! Some of the special events: Moose Lake Festival, Chequamegon Fat Fire Festival, Lumberjack World Championships, and Musky Festival.
